Labor Day Weekend around the house

This is August.

He loves the

Bar Bar A Horse Drinker

We had installed.

Just like a water fountain.

Always at 58 degrees

when it fills the bowl.

That automatic waterer

runs off water pressure only.

No Electricity.

The horses and I are SO spoiled.

Ive had it for a year now

and

My ChevyMan is sold on it too.

It took him a while

but he too has enjoyed

not having to physically water these guys

all year 'round...Now that has spoiled me!

Last winter was the most extreme winter I've been through here.

According to the Ole' Wives Tale here,

The winter coming up is going to be just as bad if not worse  :(

The newest trick I have up my sleeve

has been roasting the corn without shucking it...

Just put it in a low to medium oven

and in a half hour or so

The corn is done and the shuck and silk

remove so easy.

It retains it nutrients better this way

but most corn is only sugar.

I cut it off the cob

and made fried corn with vegtables.

The menu has lightened up

since we have quit smoking for almost a year now.

=)

Having Labor Day off

was a nice way to recover

from such a busy time lately.

It rained and that is a blessing.

Have a great week!
